COFFEE TO KANDAHAR

In December 2006, ROSE Volunteers
started an initiative called
Coffee to Kandahar. At that time
we promised to send Tim Horton's
gift certificates to our troops
in Afghanistan every three months
until they come home.

With the generous support our
extended ROSE family, we have been
successfull in keeping our promise.
  As of December 2008, we have sent
approximately $15 thousand dollars
in certificates. The response has
been tremendous. The troops love the
coffee when they get a much needed
break from routine.

We are able to carry out this project
with the help of our good friend
Lieutenant Colonel John Conrad. He
makes sure the certificates reach
their destination and into the hands
of the troops.

I extend heartfelt thanks to everyone
who has helped this become a reality.
  Our thoughts and prayers go with every
certificate for a safe return of
our soldiers.

ROSE Volunteers accepts cash donations
to send Tim Horton's gift certificates
to the troops in Kandahar. We do give
income tax receipts for donations as
long as the money comes to ROSE Volunteers
bank account first and we purchase the
gift certificates from Tim Horton's.
We accept cash, cheques made out to "ROSE
Volunteers" only and credit cards. To make
