Massey Centre

The Massey Centre For Women is an
award winning non profit community
agency in Toronto that provides
housing and resources for pregnant
teens, single mothers and their babies.

These young women are given the
opportunity to learn a range of basic
living skills within a supportive
environment. A secondary school program,
health care, personal and career
counselling, job preparation and daycare
are provided over approximately a
three year period.

Massey Centre is located at 1102 Broadview
Ave., Toronto, Ont. It is open to young
women under 21 years of age who have no
other place to go for help. Their website
address is www.massey.ca.

The pregnant teens and young mothers must
continue their schooling while residing at
Massey Centre. Rose Volunteers encourages
them to continue their studies and become
successful by providing two bursaries to
two outstanding applicants. Rose Volunteers
are part of the selection committee each year.

The pregnant young women receive no financial
assistance from the government until they
deliver their babies. At this time they become
eligible to receive Mother's Allowance.

Throughout the year, Rose Volunteers accepts
donations of many items as well as money to
provide the necessities for these young
women. At Easter and Christmas, we deliver
items such as toiletries, socks, gloves and
food for the girls and blankets, toys and
care products for their babies. These are all
truly appreciated by the young mothers.

If you'd like to donate money, please call our
Hot Line at 1-800-254-5022 and leave a message.
Your call will be returned within 48 hours.
We accept cheques made out to Rose Volunteers
or credit cards. Tax receipts will be issued
for donations over $10.00.
